About The Lodge

Umndeni is a private and exclusive family game reserve, set deep within 2,500 acres of Waterberg bushveld. Originally built in 2011, the reserve has grown over time with the addition of extra land, creating even more space for families and friends to gather, slow down and feel at home in the bush. The interiors, designed by Erena Goodwin, are elegant but never precious, with deep sofas, warm fireplaces, generous living spaces and quiet corners where everyone can settle in.

Much of the lodge was built by hand from wood and stone gathered on the reserve, giving it a natural, grounded feel, as though it belongs to the landscape around it. There are spacious lounge and dining areas, a wide thatched veranda overlooking the pool, and a boma where evenings unfold around the fire, under a sky full of stars.
